my function keys like the brightness and sound increasing and decreasing keys of the keyboard are not working

If your function keys aren’t working as expected, start by checking if Fn Lock is enabled, many laptops let you toggle between media and F1–F12 modes using an Fn Lock key or Fn + Esc. Next, update your keyboard and display drivers through Device Manager, and review your keyboard settings in Windows or your manufacturer’s utility (e.g., HP Hotkey Support, Dell QuickSet, Lenovo Vantage). Also make sure Windows Update is fully installed, since updates often resolve driver issues.
