SQL Server 2022 offers multiple licensing models depending on your deployment needs.

Enterprise Edition (2-core pack): $15,123 USD

Standard Edition:

Per core (2-core pack): $3,945 USD

Server + CAL model:

Server license: $989 USD

Client Access License (CAL): $230 USD per user/device

Both editions include SSRS by default. For development or lightweight use, the Developer and Express Editions are free, with SSRS available as a separate download for Express.
 

If you are considering cloud or hybrid deployment, pay-as-you-go options via Azure Arc or VMs are also available, with monthly costs based on core usage. For example, Standard Edition may cost around $73/month per core, and Enterprise Edition around $274/month per core.
