Double checking requirements for Windows 11

My desktop has an Intel® Core™ i3-7100CPU processor. I am getting the message that it is not enough to upgrade to Windows 11 but as I'm shopping I'm seeing desktops with similar processors (i3's) that can use Windows 11. Is the problem with my desktop really the processor? I just want to double check. Other specs below. Thank you.

Processor: 3.90 ghz Intel® Core™ i3-7100CPU

Ram: 8gb DDR4 SDRAM

System type:    64bit

Hard Drive: 1 terabyte

Video: Intel HD Graphics (Intel Graphics Controller)

Hello

i3-7100 is from the 7th generation, which is not supported. You can get a full list of supported intel CPUs from this link: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/design/minimum/supported/windows-11-supported-intel-processors

As you can see from the list, yes, there are other i3 CPUs that are supported, but they are above the 7th generation.

You can tell the generation by the number behind i3-, for example, i3-8100 is 8th generation, and i3-9100 is 9th generation, etc.
