In my Bookings, Zoom links are automatically appearing in the location field—even though students selected in-person meetings, and the online meeting option is not enabled in my settings. I had a coworker test the link, and no Zoom link appeared for her. I've also compared settings with my supervisor and colleagues, and nothing seems out of place. Any help identifying the issue would be appreciated. Thank you!

You’re welcome, Heather. Yes, you can check for the Zoom add-in directly in Outlook. Are you using Outlook on the web or the desktop app?

    For Outlook on the web:

    • Go to Settings (gear icon).
    • Select View all Outlook settings.
    • Choose Calendar, then Events and invitations.
    • Check if “Add online meeting to all meetings” is enabled. If so, turn it off.
    • Also, go to Manage add-ins to see if Zoom is listed and disable it.

    For Outlook desktop:

    • Open Outlook.
    • Select File, then Options.
    • Go to Add-ins.
    • At the bottom, look for COM Add-ins and click Go.
    • If Zoom is listed, uncheck it to disable.

This should stop Zoom links from being added. Just let me know if you need further assistance.

Thanks for reaching out, Heather. It sounds like the Zoom add-in from Outlook, or your calendar is inserting the links, not Bookings itself. Can you check if the Zoom add-in is enabled in your Outlook or calendar settings?

In Microsoft Bookings, only Teams links are added when “Add online meeting” is turned on. Since you confirmed that setting is off, the next step is to turn off or adjust the Zoom add-in in Outlook so links are not added automatically.

You can also compare by signing in through another browser or device to see if the behavior follows your account. If the links stop appearing after disabling the add-in, then the issue is outside of Bookings.

    Best regards,

    Arlene D.
