Restore from backups

Hello!!

I am working on testing restores from my backup service provider. I get the following error code “ Error occured trying to start plan. Error message: Operation could not be completed as it results in exceeding approved Total Regional Cores quota. Additional details - Deployment Model: Resource Manager, Location: centralus, Current Limit: 10, Current Usage: 10, Additional Required: 4, (Minimum) New Limit Required: 14. Submit a request for Quota increase. “ Will increasing the quota work and can I also create another region like east US for more resources?

    If you are trying to create a new VM from the restore then this will not replace your existing VM but create a new one which will require more cores on your subscription so yes you can request an increase and then try this method.

    It is possible to perform a cross-region restore but you would need to enable this on your backups and make sure you are using geo-redundant storage so that your backup is replicated to your paired region. (Note: this is more expensive than using locally-redundant storage)
