Repeat of problem with taskbar

Question

Taskbar hides OK - but does not reappear above opened windows - whether in full screen or not. This problem occurred a few months ago, was reported and put right. I believe it was behaving normally until yesterday, the August 28th security (definition) update so this may be implicated.

With win11 update on several systems set to the defaults, ie only critical update, I have no isues with task bar hiding/showing

I have allways found the setting to be somewhat happhazard in use
