NodeJS version in VSCode terminal won't update

Having updated my NodeJS version to V22.18, the terminal in VS Code is still showing as V18.20.8 - what can I do to update VS Code?

    Vs code just uses the node version in the path. Maybe you installed the update in a new location. You can check the path in the terminal. You can also try

    whereis node
