    Dear  София Лебедева

Thanks for reaching out! Welcome to Microsoft Q&A. I'm Haien from Microsoft Q&A.

I understand you're seeing the error code 0xA00F4244<NoCamerasAreAttached>, which is a common problem and can be very frustrating, especially when you need to use your camera for video calls or to take photos. It means that Windows is unable to detect a camera device, even though you have one built-in. This is almost always a software issue rather than a physical hardware problem.

To provide the most tailored solutions, could you clarify:

    • Which version of Windows are you using (Windows 10 or 11)? Check in Settings > System > About.
    • Is the camera built-in (e.g., laptop webcam) or external (e.g., USB webcam)? If external, what’s the brand/model?
    • Do you see any camera-related errors in Device Manager (e.g., yellow triangle or “Unknown Device”)?

Here are the steps to fix your camera system, starting with the easiest solutions first.

Solution 1: Run the Windows Camera Troubleshooter

    • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters > Select Camera > click Run the troubleshooter > Follow the prompts to apply fixes.
    • Open the Camera app (search for it in Start) and check if the error persists.

Solution 2: Check Camera Privacy Settings and Reset the Camera App

    • Settings > Privacy & security > Camera > Make sure that "Camera access" is On. Also, ensure that "Let apps access your camera" is On and that the apps you want to use (like the Camera app, Teams, etc.) have permission to access the camera.
    • Settings > (AppsInstalled apps) or (Apps & features) > type "Camera" > Click the three dots next to the Camera app > select "Advanced options" > Scroll down and click "Repair". If that doesn't work, click "Reset".
