Provisioning in requested region is not supported. Your subscription might not have access to create a server in the selected region.

this issue is related to MySqlFlexibleServer, am using free account to practice and i tried different regions and the result is the same. please advise.

Hi,

This error can be a result of limited capacity in the region so they restrict which subscriptions are allowed to deploy MySQL Flexible. You should be able to deploy to a different region. Have you tried West US 3?

Normally I would provide instructions on how to create a free support request to allow access to deploy Azure Database for MySQL Flexible Server in your preferred region, however, Azure Free accounts are not eligible for quota increase.

Once you upgrade your account to Pay-As-You-Go you would be permitted to request access to the region you want. You are not guaranteed to be given access.

With Free account you need to upgrade at the end of 30 days to continue using, or you can upgrade before then if you want. You still can use the free credits for the remainder of the 30 days even if you upgrade early.

Please let me know if you will upgrade to Pay-As-You-Go and I will post instructions for creating request.

Thanks.

    Hello,

My name is Pavel Poddubny, I will be happy to assist you! ✨

    There might be 2 reasons:

The location that you are selecting for database is on the high demand and you can't create a server right now

Or, as it says in the error message "Your subscription might not have access to create a server in the selected region.".

So, I would suggest reaching our Azure customer support so they can check for you what is the exact reason.
