For an unknown reason my rewards account has been locked.
When searching for a solution I found many people having the same issues asking here about it.
What you ignored every time was the fact that those people mentioned the support site is locked when your account gets locked!
Hence your solution of using the website https://rewards.bing.com/support does not work!

How can can one contact support to help with a locked account when the support function itself will be locked too?

If you’re sure you haven’t violated any of the Microsoft Rewards rules, the best option is to try signing in with a different Microsoft account and then access the support form again through this link: https://rewards.bing.com/support and mention the blocked account.

That should allow you to get in touch with support even if your main account is locked.

After spending thirty Minutes with the support staff, several times mentioning that the affected account cannot create tickets they told me to do exactly this.
Open a ticket with another account.

They gave me a nice ticket Number for it too.

So I opened a ticket, just like you and they said, with a new account. Described the issue, linked the convo, and got a reply today vias mail:
"To help us assist you more accurately, please file a new support request using the Microsoft Rewards account that is experiencing the issue. "

So i really wonder, does rewards support staff even read the messages?

I’ve experienced this before myself, it can sometimes take a few days for them to properly resolve the issue.

At this point, the best thing you can do is reply directly to the ticket you already opened and clearly state that the locked account cannot access the support form, which is why you had to use another account to file it. I’d also suggest including the ticket number they gave you and politely ask for escalation.
