Dear John -PC,
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A.
To take a screenshot in Windows 7, you could follow one of these methods below:
- Using Print Screen key:
- Press the PrtSc or PrtScrn on your keyboard.
- Then go to Paint app, then Ctrl + V to paste.
- Now you can Ctrl + C to copy again or save it as an image.
- You can also press Windows + Shift + S to capture the screen, then Ctrl + V to paste anywhere you want.
- Or you can use Snipping Tool:
- Go to Start and type Snipping Tool.
- The Snipping Tool window will open, and your screen will fade slightly.
- By default, it's set to "Rectangular Snip." Click and drag your mouse to draw a box around the area you want to capture.
- As soon as you let go of the mouse button, the selected area will be captured.
All of these three methods can be useful. I hope this could help. If you have any further issues, we are happy to assist.
