I recently uninstalled SCSM Authoring Tool, and then reinstalled it. Now, when I open the Authoring Tool, a little pop-up window appears that says, "Scanning new and updated MEF components" but the green progress bar never advances; it just sits there.
As this post mentioned, we may need to clear the related cache files when uninstalling.
I have deleted the ComponentModelCache folder, as illustrated in that post. This does not resolve the issue when opening the Authoring Tool. I have no problems opening Visual Studio 2015.
