Windows XP: how get more than 600KB's of cmd memory?

how can i get more memory on cmd?
using sound emulator with game(like doom), the game, sometimes, can slow down :(

    Hi

    To be able to use the cmd in such way I would recommend to use a third part program available from github, dosbox, it allow you to edit the memory setting.

    Such emulator enable to create old school tip to expend the memory, like using himem.sys and tip like DOS=HIGH,UMB..
