Hi All,

We are trying to achieve Conditional access policy for Exchange On-premises environment by enabling Hybrid modern authentication. I followed the steps provided

https://www.alitajran.com/hybrid-modern-authentication/
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/enterprise/configure-exchange-server-for-hybrid-modern-authentication?view=o365-worldwide

When we enable HMA, the on-premises outlook stops working and it prompts for a password. After entering it fails to login. Then we tried

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/troubleshoot/authentication/outlook-prompt-password-modern-authentication-enabled

https://www.alitajran.com/outlook-needs-password-after-hybrid-modern-authentication-implementation/

Still it prompts for a password and fails after entering right pwd. From outside, OWA is working fine. Is there specific reason it fails. Please suggest since i am not a exchange expert

Please mark sure those prerequisites for Exchange on-premises are met: Exchange Server on-premises in a hybrid Office 365 environment. Also make sure the Outlook version is 2013 or later, and MAPI over HTTP enabled for your Exchange on-premises.

About Conditional Access for Exchange on-premises, you need use Intune Conditional access for Exchange on-premises
