Ongoing account issue

After moving to a new home, an attempt to register a computer with a Yahoo email linked to a Microsoft 365 account is failing. Despite efforts to change the email address through a relative's settings and creating a new Gmail account for security, issues persist. When logging into the desktop, the relative's name and files appear instead. A call to customer service was disconnected, and there is a desire to speak with a real representative to resolve this ongoing issue.

    Do you mean that you used a Yahoo address to create a Microsoft account? What steps did you take to try to change the address? Describe them in detail so we know exactly what you did.

    If you say you can log into the computer, then you should be able to log into the account with a web browser. Please log into https://account.live.com/names/manage. What do you see there?
