I have been locked out of my outlook account for a while now and thought I would try and get back in to no avail. I mainly used it as storage for my main email but it has been hacked at some point and I receive the following - Help us secure your account

We have detected unusual activity on your Microsoft account --------@outlook.com, or believe your credentials are at risk.

For your security and to ensure only you have access to your account, we will ask you to verify your identity and change your password." I have tried the form several times and I can't get access. Can anyone help? I haven't got the phone number I use to have when I made this email and I notice when I put my main email in I don't receive nothing from Microsoft but when I use another email I get a recovery pin etc.

Hello, thank you for your reply.

The message may be disappointing to you, but keep in mind that the Account Recovery form is the only option to recover your account here. Here in the forum, we are users like you, and even Microsoft Customer Support may not be able to assist you with the Account recovery process. So, if your Microsoft account recovery request was not granted or was unsuccessful, please click the attached link for more information:

All I could suggest to you is keep trying the account recovery form up to 2 times per day. Ensure you fill in all the details correctly. If you are unsuccessful in recovering your account, your account is completely lost here, and you will have to move forward by creating a new Microsoft account.

Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

Note - This is a peer-to-peer support forum. Account or billing-related queries fall outside the scope of our community guidelines, as they usually require sharing personal information. Posting such details in a public forum poses security risks and violates Microsoft’s terms and conditions. For this reason, we can only offer general guidance on how to recover your account.

In this situation, your only option is to get verified by Microsoft by filling out the right answers on the Account Recovery Form.

Detailed steps on how to use the Account Recovery Form can be found here:

Help with the Microsoft account recovery form

Remember to use a familiar device from which you've frequently accessed your Microsoft account, as well as a familiar location. Microsoft will review your responses and respond within 24 hours. If you are verified, instructions on how to log back into your account will be sent to you, and if you are not verified, you will need to submit the Account Recovery form again. You can do this up to 2 times every 24 hours.

Let me know if you still need more help.
