I just upgraded to the new Microsoft Remote Desktop 10.4.0 (1811) that came out a few days ago.

I can connect to my remote session fine (Windows 10, still on 1803 due to corporate antivirus). The connection is initiated, but when the remote screen opens, it is entirely black. I tried turning on/off hardware acceleration in Preferences, and tried different resolutions / 32-bit / 16-bit color and also enable/disable Admin session. No changes, connection completes but remote screen is entirely black.

Related to this, when I choose Quit, the program now hangs with the window "Remote Desktop is shutting down...". This never goes away until I press the "Quit Now" button.

This setup all worked fine with the previous release 10.3.12.

Remote client is MacOS 10.5.6, on Mac Mini (2018), using built-in Intel Graphics.

    Hi,
You can report this issue via feedback hub in the application and in the meanwhile, you could remove current version and go to download page of RDC for Mac beta and find the link of Version 10.3.2.
    https://install.appcenter.ms/orgs/rdmacios-k2vy/apps/microsoft-remote-desktop-for-mac/distribution_groups/all-users-of-microsoft-remote-desktop-for-mac

What about the Mac beta client?- We're testing new features on our preview channel on AppCenter.

    Thanks,

I attempted to try the betas. All 10.4.xxx exhibit the same problem. 10.3.7 - 10.3.9 all won't start returning an error code -47.
I am running Version 10.3.12 (1801) and this works fine.

Luckily I had an offline installer. Which, coincidentally should be more readily available for download so people can revert when things get this badly stuffed up!

    Cheers, Andy.

Is there a way to get the non-beta prior version? We are having random issues freezing as well as occasional windows that open but and not visible with 2 of the beta versions we've tried.
