why is Microsoft causing problems with startup, general OS speed and making the store unusable? I am not "upgrading to 11", I spent $400 on two pro licenses and I want 10 so I expect it to work. I've refreshed everything, dumped temp files, checked updates and firmware, I have even tried to reinstall windows and it wont do it. locks in a certain point mid process with the spinning "at work" graphic. all started when my 15s boot time started multiplying and the store stopped letting me install stuff.

Your description of the problems indicate your Windows 10 installation is corrupt, possibly caused by an update that did not install correctly, the best option to stabilise Windows is to perform an in-place repair with the Windows 10 ISO.

Please ensure you download the ISO in the same language as you use for the Windows UI, follow the steps, this is then not like re-installing Windows, it is just like an update and your personal files, settings and installed software will not be affected.

    Click this link:

    https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows10

to download the Media Creation Tool (Click on Download Tool Now), with that you can download the latest Windows 10 ISO (Select Create Installation Media for Another PC), then choose ISO, not USB

When the ISO file completes downloading

    Disconnect from the Internet

Disconnect all external devices with the exception of a mouse or keyboard.

Temporarily disable any 3rd party Anti-virus you may have installed

Then, in Windows File Explorer, double click the ISO and then run Setup.exe and select the Install option.

Very Important - ensure you select the option to keep your files and apps.
