Right-click the Taskbar → Taskbar settings.
Under Taskbar behaviors, set Combine taskbar buttons and hide labels → Never
Why does a program not open from Taskbar Icon if another icon runs the same program?

I have 2 icons on my taskbar. Each runs the same program but with different parameters. Since the last Windows Update, if one of these is running and I click on the other one, the second one never opens or it opens only after many minutes.

2025-09-27T02:57:17.3566667+00:00 TThis made no difference. But now I see that the time for the second program to open is reduced to about 10 seconds, no matter what the taskbar settings are. If this holds, I can live with it. Thanks for the suggestion.
