PC Does not detect certain devices

Since my PC’s creation, I’ve had an issue with it not detecting devices such as USB drives or my hard drive (so I’ve been stuck using only my SSD). Using something like partition wizard makes it clear that the devices exist, but I can’t initialize the drives or anything, and device manager shows them only as ‘unknown device’. No clue what to do. The hard drive shows up in device manager, but not disk manager.
