Postgresql flexible server in state dropping for more than 24 hours

Hello,
I have a strong problem with Azure Postgresql flexible server. I deploy my resources via terraform and I haven't created it. I got this message:


The resource operation completed with terminal provisioning state 'Failed'.

I tried it several times, even changing the resource name. Then, I realised there are some server in dropping state for more than 24 hours. I don't know if this is a general issue or something happened with my suscription.

Hi Luis Paraguay,

Can you please try to check below things

Check Resource Status: Go to the Azure portal and check the "Resource Health" of your PostgreSQL server. This can provide insights into whether there are any ongoing issues with Azure's infrastructure that might be affecting your server.

Server Provisioning Limits: If you're repeatedly running into issues provisioning the server, check to ensure that your subscription has not hit any resource allocation limits. Azure does impose certain limits on the number of resources you can provision.

If hits the limits, you need to raise the Quota request from your side or you can let us know we will try to help you on how to raise the request.

I am having the same issue when trying to deploy PostgreSQL flexible server in East US. This is a new issue which started happening yesterday. (All ok in North Europe.)

Hi Luis Paraguay,

Following up on our discussion over the Private messaging if you are using Burstable SKU's and as mentioned by you your server is in East US region.

Currently there is an outage in EASTUS region - Azure database for PostgreSQL Flexible Server -VM capacity issue, primarily across burstable SKUs/V5 SKUS. The root cause has been identified as a capacity constraint. As part of our mitigation efforts, we have temporarily blocked all scale operations across all zones for burstable and v5 SKUs some cases.

Please don't perform any operation on the server until this issue resolved

To address capacity issues, it is advisable to use an different region or opt for the general purpose v3 SKU with availability zone 3 until the problem is resolved. Additionally, we are exploring options to whitelist and unblock the issue based on recommendations from the capacity team.
