Windows Update not working

Question

Hello,

In December 2024 I bought a laptop ASUS VivoBook 15 and 2 days after,during a windows update suddenly a BSOD appeared and it was infinite,finally I have to reset from BIOS my computer (thank god I didn’t have important data on it).And since then windows update wasn’t a problem anymore,until last week when I got during the 24H2 September update the error code 0x800f081f.Now I did a BIG research and everything I tried didn’t work.

Now these days I had a school email,so I wanted to enroll to the windows insider program ,but I still didn’t do any updates yet.

P.S:I also tried downloading the win media maker and running setup.exe which resulted in error code 0x8007042b 0x2000d

PC stats:

avast free

malwarebytes free

ProtonVPN free(takes about 2-5 min to connect)

didn't work at all but the repair button is available at recovery EDIT: It said i didn`t have enough space on my disk.How much do i need?

Hi George,

Just a suggestion.

Uninstall Avast Free.

Get off the VPN and don't

Dual Boot. You may have conflicting

software/issues.
