I have a laptop that was updated to Windows 11 recently but the Windows Update page gives me this message: "Get the newer version of Windows to stay up to date - your version of Windows has reached the end of service."

How do I get that message to disappear?

Thanks for any help you can give.

Hi, thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A forum. I’m happy to help.

  1. In the search bar, type Winver and hit Enter.

Please share a screenshot of that window.

  1. Try running the PC Health Check tool: https://aka.ms/GetPCHealthCheckApp

Click 'check now' button then share a screenshot of the result.

I reran the Windows 11 Installation Assistant again this morning and it seemed to work - my Windows Update screen now indicates I'm running Windows 11 and my OS is up to date.

Thank you so much for all your help!

When the Windows 11 Installation Assistant reached about 82% installed, my computer crashed. I’ll run some tests on the hard drive to determine if it is failing. Thank you for your help.
