Hi all,

I am having an issue with the following message.
"Sign-in failed

Error code: AADSTS5000225

Error message: AADSTS5000225: This tenant has been blocked due to inactivity. To learn more about tenant lifecycle policies, see https://aka.ms/TenantLifecycle Trace ID: <Removed> Correlation ID:<Removed> Timestamp: 2025-10-03 04:51:43Z"

Using a few of the other people struggling with this same issue, I was able to troubleshoot it but cannot remove the troublesome tenant. My problem tenant is "remove tenant ID due to PII information" But clicking on delete or leave don't help. I get more errors from trying to load this tenant and my account does not have an organization to leave.

Is there a way to have this removed from my account ?

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

Basically, Error message: AADSTS5000225 means that tenant has been inactive for over 200 days past the billing cycle, triggering Microsoft’s effort to remove inactive tenants. When a tenant remains inactive for this period, the OMS commerce system imposes a login block (AADSTS5000225).

Here the email id which you used to create a new Azure account was already in past was linked to tenant of some organization which might have went inactive.

To fix this, try adding your tenant ID or domain name to the URL, then it will redirect to that mentioned Tenant. Pasting the link below.

https://portal.azure.com/{Domain Name or tenant id}
