I have tried, uninstalling camera and the scannning for hardware changes and updating camera driver. This worked twice before but each time, the problem came back after a few days and now even doing this wont fix it. I have reset camera settings and checked it's permissions. Also ensured that Windows Camera Frame Server service is running and disabled my anitvirus yet nothing seems to work and i am at my wits end. Mine is also a fairly new Laptop but i had this issue from the very start. I figured that its not a big deal and will go away on it's own but was ofc proven to be wrong. Pls heelp!

Hi, I am an independent advisor, and welcome to Microsoft Q&A.

Let me help you with this issue.

Have you tried a hard reset?

    Shut down the laptop.

Remove everything attached to it, including the battery (If removable, if not, leave it as it is) and the AC charger.

And then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds.

Power the computer up and test the camera.
