Hello! Ummmmmm. Thanks for the details.
The web installer you’re using tries to download files during installation, and if any connection fails, it gets stuck.
- Go to the official Java Downloads page.
- Download “Windows Offline (64-bit)”
.exe— about ~80 MB. - Right-click → Run as administrator.
If this works, you’re done. If it still fails, go to the next steps.
Some security software blocks Java’s downloader connections without telling you. Try this:
- Turn off Windows Defender Firewall temporarily:
Settings → Update & Security → Windows Security → Firewall & network protection → Domain/Private/Public → OffIf you have a third-party antivirus, disable its web protection too. Then run the installer again.
If it installs, turn your firewall/antivirus back ON immediately after.
Best regards,
Kimberly
