Question

unable to get in system, asking or bit locker number

went to active devices and entered the number however it is incorrect , entered it numerous times. keep getting error bit locker number incorrect. Any suggestions? no phone support from Microsoft

If BitLocker says your key is wrong, you can try this steps bellow :

1. Check the Key ID on the lock screen => it must match the one on Microsoft’s recovery page : https://account.microsoft.com/devices/recoverykey.
2. Make sure it’s the right device => if you have more than one, pick the correct one.
3. Try other accounts => the key might be under a different Microsoft, work, or school account.
4. If it’s a work PC, contact your IT => the key could be in Azure AD.
5. If no key works, there’s no way around it => you’ll need to reinstall Windows.
