How to associate an app to open jpeg files

I can no longer open or download jpeg files from my computer running Windows 10. The error message I receive states "this files does not have an app associated with it for performing this activity. Please install an app or, if one is already installed (which it is - Windows Photos), create and association in the Default Apps Setting page. (Which I did already)

Can someone please help - I tried calling support or trying to chat online and NO ONE will help. It's been over 24 hours.

    Hi, good day!

    • When was the last time it worked properly?
    • Have you made any changes to your computer recently?

Please try this if it helps.

Right click one of the jpeg files then select Properties

Click Change then find Photos app in the list

Select it then click Set default

I look forward to receiving your update and I'm willing to collaborate with you till we resolve the issue. Do keep me informed by clicking "Add comment" below.
