Hi,

I have the problem that my Surface Go 4 is stuck in a boot loop.

I can’t boot into UEFI or do a hardware reset.

I also let the battery die completely, but still nothing…

Same problem as: https://www.reddit.com/r/Surface/comments/m6gbw8/surface_go_stuck_in_boot_loop_cannot_hard_reset/

They also don’t have a solution yet.

Thanks in advance!

I know you said you tried a hardware reset (which is the Hold Down the Power Button 'reset') correct? I don't know if the following will work, but you don't seem to have tried this yet.

Hold down the Power button on your computer for apprx 10 seconds to turn it off if it is on/boot looping. Press the Power button again to turn it back on. When the boot logo appears, immediately hold the Power button for another 10 seconds to turn off your device. Repeat this process about three times until the Automatic Repair window appears. Then, click on Advanced options and select Startup Repair. (As I said, I don't know if this will work in your situation, but you've tried all the other "known fixes". If this does not fix it, you probably will need to send your Go 4 in for exchange. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/surface/how-to-get-service-or-repair-for-surface-b06da716-0763-65b3-e2f2-116d9e30f877#bkmk_online

    Hi Winkler,

Thank you for posting i am here to help you today. Possible reason you are getting this problem is due to corrupted system files, firmware updates or malware.

May i know if you have other devices connected to your Surface Go 4?.

For the meantime try this steps see it Surface Go 4 will boot now:

Disconnect any external devices or accessories that are connected to your Surface Go 4.

    Restart your Surface

Press and hold down the power button until your Surface shuts down and restarts and you see the Windows logo screen (about 20 seconds), then release the power button. After restart check again if Surface Go still not booting up.

Let me know how this goes. Looking forward to helping you out.  If you need more help please feel free to let me know.

    Best regards,

    Jansher
