Language Switcher Icon is persistent

Just updated to Win 11 24H2 via Win Update and I’ve been unable to get rid of the Language Switcher Icon permanently. I have just one preferred language installed and unchecking the box for "Use the desktop language bar when it's available" does nothing. Choosing the hidden option under Language bar options also does nothing. The only thing that works is if I leave the first option checked along with the hidden option but this is temporary. The icon returns after every sign out or reboot. I’ll be grateful for any help getting rid of this annoyance which did not happen in 23H2.

    Hello,

Actually, I had this problem since I installed Windows in English language with Spanish keyboard, but I just found out the way right now. You have to ensure you have only one keyboard layout installed. Windows shows the switcher if there is more than one layout, even under a single language.

Open Settings > Time and language > Language and region > Click your language > Language options, and under Keyboards remove every layout except the one you actually use. With only one layout present, the switcher no longer appears.

Let me know if this works!
