Sharepoint Online, when i try creating a connection to my WCF service for Sharepoint Online in Sharepoint Designer 2013/2010, I get an error "Cannot connect to Business Data Connectivity Metadata Store"14751-image.png
But if you create a similar connection for the local server Sharepoint 2013, then it works 14735-image.png
p.s. the WCF service is not located in the local server Sharepoint 2013 infrastructure.
p.s.s. I have found similar threads, but they are either removed or out of date. One of the posts suggested trying to create a connection to Sharepoint Designer 2010, instead of 2013. I tried it and it didn't help.

Please go to Microsoft 365 admin center> Billing>Subscriptions to check whether the plan you are using supports Business Connectivity Services (BCS).

BCS requires SharePoint Plan 2, Office 365 Enterprise E3, or Office 365 Enterprise E5.

If supported, we suggest you open a ticket to report the issue since BCS is one of the SPO services on Microsoft side.
