SCCM - M365 Updates are Compliant

Hi All,

I am trying to deploy M365 Updates via SCCM. Before all the clients get M365 updates via Internet. Now we wanted to deploy thru SCCM CB 2107. All clients are upgraded to latest SCCM client version.

When we deploy M365 updates, Some clients are updating and some says compliant in SCCM but not updated in the client.

  1. Tried installing manually on the client machine, it is installing the office updates. Why does SCCM states compliant when not deployed the updates. Please suggest from where to see the log error (Tried restarting, manual installation, verified all are semi annual channel, no error in the updates logs like wuahandler, updateshandler etc...)
  2. Weird thing is, it is not downloading in the ccmcache but it is getting installed. Is it normal behavior? verified policy agent log and updates logs

    If you deploy a O365 update which is not for your office product with current setting, and it is not required, you get compliant status. Compliant status also can mean, that the update you are deploying is not for your office setup. You might want to check, what different O365 updates has Required numbers more than 0 and consider even to deploy them all.

    Thanks, But i deployed required greater than 200 and it has installed on 50 percent of the machines.

    All has same update channel which is verified under Click to run/Configuration settings. Any other reason please

    So how many updates you see for required =<1 ?

    Are you sure the devices are being managed by ConfigMgr for office updates? Did you enable the office com object for ConfigMgr to take control of M365 patches?
