Hi,
I discovered that in the newest iOS version of Edge app it does not work with the deep linking. In my case it's adding a server to another app. It works that way that you paste a link which invoke the app and add server to it it's like: Myappname:\settings_for_the_apps
I thought this was a problem with app protection policy from Intune but no, on plain edge it does not work as well.
Did anyone experienced that problem? Edge version - 93

For better understanding the issue, I want to confirm something with you:
Do you mean custom URL scheme (deep linking) not working in Edge iOS?
Yes
Does the deep linking work in other browsers like Chrome on iOS?
Yes
Is it a specific URL scheme not working, or all the URL schemes are not working?
I have only access to few and all of them does not work
If possible, please provide the steps which can reproduce the issue so that we can have a test.
I cannot provide the link as it's private for our company. we just paste the link to the Edge like we did before latest Edge update. It worked before, seems that newest Edge update broke it.

As I have no idea what URL scheme you're using, I made a test with Chrome URL scheme and it can work well in Edge. I load the following page in Edge, then I click the link in Edge, it can open Chrome:

I use iOS 15 and Edge 93.0.961.57. You can also test the sample above to see if it can work in your Edge iOS.

Any solution? did anyone manage to fix it?
I have safelink policy applied and have Intune enabled.
Exempted link in Intune policy and in safelink added link to do not rewrite links list, still it does not open app with universal link, it opens appstore.

@Anonymous Now try to directly type googlechrome://www.google.com in the address bar. It should open Chrome, but it can't!!!
This is a very common use case to open a link to a website and that website redirects the user to the app.

This issue still exists in the current Edge browser on iOS. Hyperlinks inside the HTML page work great, but hyperlinks via the address bar (or other means, for instance website redirect) do not work very well.
This is, for instance, the reason why everyone is having such troubles with Outlook Safe Links and Edge, on iOS. Safe Links cause a bunch of HTTP redirects, and they are not being handled correctly by Edge. If the link was a deep link, then after all the redirects, Edge will simply always open the App Store page, and not the app that is associated with the URL.
Safari and Chrome do it correctly, but Edge not. In the case of Outlook Safe Links, we therefore can only wait until Microsoft addresses this issue (but it's now 2024 and they haven't addressed it for 2 years and a few months), or instruct the user to temporarily switch Default Browser back to Safari.
But that last option is often not feasible, as that use Microsoft software and Safe Browsing, often have managed phones that don't let them change such settings.
I would be interested to know if someone can come with a workaround that hacks around the problem. But an actual fix would be nicer, though.
