I suppose you may need to use messageid to search mails for some other information (such as message subject) via message trace first.

Then use these information to do a content search and get the results.
Since messageid cannot be used directly as a parameter in content search, I suppose you may need to use subjects,senders and recipients instead as a workaround.

I know I can use that but I would have to do it 5000 times.
We are looking for a bulk solution.
Besides this is a message trace. The emails I am looking won't be there since they have been sent years ago.

Thanks for your update.

Since messageID isn't an option in content search, this method would not work for you.

Instead, I suppose you can consider using EWS managed API, which is more related to Exchange development.

Hi,
You may need to write scripts using EWS managed API to get the messages using messageID.

Here is an example: How could I fetch multiple o365 mail details for mail ids using EWS managed API in c#
