Multifactor doesn't work AGAIN, so now I cannot access my mail on my phone and authenticator doesn't work

I got a new phone and both authenticator and mail do not accept login because they both send me to the authenticator where I cannot logon because there is no other option then using authenticator. When I select verify by message or phone it gives an error and later in the process it says the account isn't verified. And so I am in a loop, because to verify I need to use authenticator, but to activate the account on authenticator it needs me to login using 2 factor. This is not the first time this happens and now I cannot work from my mobile phone.

    Hello,

Based on your description, it appears that your account is requiring two-factor authentication (2FA) via Microsoft Authenticator, but the app itself cannot be activated without completing 2FA—creating a circular dependency.

To resolve this, we recommend accessing your account from a trusted device (such as your previous phone or PC) and updating your security information at https://mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info. From there, you can add or change your verification methods, such as SMS or alternate email, and reconfigure the Authenticator app on your new phone.

If you no longer have access to a trusted device, please visit https://aka.ms/authapphelp for recovery options or contact your organization's IT administrator if this is a work account.

If my answer is useful for you, please vote for it.

    Best regards,

    Quinnie Quoc.
