Please check my subscription renewal date for Microsoft 365. I had 10 months free from Dec 12 2024 following a purchase of an HP laptop, on top of recurring annual payment in January. Why am I being asked to renew on October 22?

Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

Microsoft Q&A is public, and we can only provide information. It is beyond our capability to assist directly with billing-related concerns.

Just to clarify, Microsoft 365 subscriptions are managed through your Microsoft account, so the best way to confirm your renewal date is to sign in at https://account.microsoft.com/services From there, you’ll see all your active subscriptions, including the exact renewal or expiry dates for each.

It’s possible the renewal reminder you received is linked to a different subscription or account, for example, one tied to your HP offer rather than your paid annual plan. Once you’re on that page, please check if you see more than one Microsoft 365 entry.

Could you let me know what it shows under your Microsoft 365 subscription (such as “Renews on…” or “Expires on…”)?
