Dear Karin Poelstra,
To stop receiving emails for each new answer to a question you commented on, unsubscribe from notifications for that specific question and adjust your global Q&A notification settings. Open the question page and click the “Unfollow” or “Stop following” link so the question no longer generates follow‑up emails.
In your Microsoft Q&A profile, go to settings and turn off the options labeled like “Answers to questions I follow,” “Replies to my comments,” or “Email me when someone answers a question I commented on.” Use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of one of the notification emails to directly stop that email thread immediately.
If your organization uses a centralized identity or tenant policy, ask your tenant admin to verify there are no enforced notification policies overriding your personal settings. Also check any browser or mail rules that might be re-subscribing or forwarding those messages into your inbox. After you change settings, allow a short propagation window and then verify by commenting on a nonproduction question or waiting for the next activity; if emails continue, clear browser cookies or sign out and sign in again to ensure your updated preferences are applied.
If this resolves your issue, please click Accept Answer so others can find the solution easily :)
Best regards,
Vivian
