Unable to use Remediations in Microsoft Intune

I have a notice that says:

"Use of remediations requires Windows license verification to be enabled."

The option to create a script is greyed out.

I'm directed to confirm my tenant has one of the following licenses.

  • Windows 10 or later Enterprise E3 or E5; or Microsoft 365 F3, E3, or E5
  • Windows 10 or later Education A3 or A5; or Microsoft 365 A3 or A5
  • Windows Virtual Desktop Access E3 or E5

All of our devices are Windows 11 pro, and my Machine is showing "Windows 11 Business"

All of our users have "Microsoft 365 Business Premium" Licenses assigned to them. (nonprofit)

How can I confirm that I won't get in trouble for enabling license verification, and how am I to know how I can verify my own licenses?

Hello Stefan,

This step is only for license verification. If the verification doesn’t meet the required licensing, you won’t be able to use Remediations or the Windows 11 Upgrade Readiness report features in Intune. There’s no other impact from enabling this check.

If your device meets the necessary prerequisites and licensing(as mentioned in the below links), the verification will pass, and you’ll be able to start using Remediations without any issues.

Hope this helps!
