Hello,

I got Windows update failure with error code 0x80070306.

I have Windows 11 Pro and Windows version 24H2 (OS Build 26100.6584).

I retired Windows update lots of times, but it always failed with the same error code.

Hi, the error code 0x80070306 usually means the update files are damaged, or something interrupted the process. Did this start after a recent update or has it been ongoing? Try running the Windows Update Troubleshooter under Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters, then select Windows Update and Run. Restart your PC and check again. If it still fails, open Command Prompt as Administrator and run sfc /scannow followed by DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth. If the problem continues, use the Windows 11 Installation Assistant from Microsoft’s official site to repair your system without losing your files.
