Hi ,
Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.
You cannot create an Azure AI resource because your subscription type does not support it or lacks required permissions.
Here is what you can try:
- Check your subscription type : Free Trial, Visual Studio or Student subscriptions often block certain AI resources like AzureOpenAI. Create a Pay-As-You-Go subscription for full access.
- If you are using an institutional or org account, your admin may have disabled AI resource creation. Request them to enable it or create the resource for you.
- Some AI resources are available only in specific regions (for ex, East US or West Europe). Try changing the region during creation.
- Use alternatives for instructors
Microsoft Learn sandbox: Many Azure AI learning paths provide temporary sandbox environments that let you try labs without creating your own resources.
- Azure for Education: You can sign up at https://azureforeducation.microsoft.com to get $100 free credits and broader access.
