Synonyms Support with Azure Suggest

Question

I have a cognitive search implemented for address search.

I've created a synonym map in my search index.

My requirement is to suggest Addresses with synonyms.

Eg: When the user types word 'mt', it should recognize as the word 'Mount' and display it in the Autocomplete section.

but it's not working with Suggest even though it is working with search API.

Will this come as a new feature in the future? or any suggestion please

@chanuri cs , I have received an update from our product engineering team now. Apologies for the delay.

We don’t have an ETA for supporting synonym maps as part of suggesters. It is a capability that our team plans to add in the future.

As a workaround, you could upload the synonyms to the document in the search index itself, similar to what is described in this SO response: Azure cognitive search suggestion ignoring word order
