Hello,

I got to know that "Microsoft Certified: Information Protection and Compliance Administrator Associate" is retired, and the replacement "Microsoft Certified: Information Security Administrator Associate"

To achieve the new one I need to pass SC-401 instead of SC-400.

Since my certificate renewal for SC-400 is soon, and the certificate is retired, I think I need to do SC-401, but is it free like any other exam I did when renew, and is it open book like the others?

Or I have to pay and with Pearsonvue?

Only renewals are free. As the exam and certification has been retired, you will need to take and pay for the SC-401 exam to earn the new certification.

You will have access to Microsoft Learn during the SC-401 exam
