windows features no longer functioning

windows automatic update disabled window features on or off which in turn caused Quik Books failure. Any fix known?

    Hi Dennis, thanks for posting here in the Microsoft community, it sounds like disabling Windows Updates may have inadvertently turned off some essential Windows features, which could be causing QuickBooks to fail.

    You might want to check the “Turn Windows features on or off” settings and re-enable any required components like .NET Framework or IIS if QuickBooks depends on them.

     

    First, simply go to Control Panel > Programs > Turn Windows features on or off then Ensure that .NET Framework 3.5 and .NET Framework 4.8 (or latest) are enabled

    If QuickBooks uses IIS, make sure Internet Information Services is also enabled

     

    Also, to better understand, have you checked which specific Windows features were disabled after turning off automatic updates, especially those required by QuickBooks like .NET Framework or IIS?
