You might want to check the “Turn Windows features on or off” settings and re-enable any required components like .NET Framework or IIS if QuickBooks depends on them.
First, simply go to Control Panel > Programs > Turn Windows features on or off then Ensure that .NET Framework 3.5 and .NET Framework 4.8 (or latest) are enabled
If QuickBooks uses IIS, make sure Internet Information Services is also enabled
Also, to better understand, have you checked which specific Windows features were disabled after turning off automatic updates, especially those required by QuickBooks like .NET Framework or IIS?
