Cannot update or install on Microsoft Store

Question

Cannot update or install anything in the Microsoft Store. It just fails every time. I have tried resetting the store through run but that is no good. Already ran wsreset.exe.

Error 0X800706D9. Store was already reset

There is nothing called 'update & Security' when you go into settings. There is nothing called Apps& Features.

Hello,

Here’s a guide to try and get your Microsoft store working again.

Use the built-in troubleshooter

Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.

Select Additional troubleshooters.

Click on Windows Store Apps and run the troubleshooter.

Repair and reset the Microsoft Store app

Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features.

Find and click on Microsoft Store, then select Advanced options.

First, click Terminate to close the app, then click Repair.

If that doesn't work, click Reset in the same menu and confirm.
