Authenticator app issue

Question

Compared to the account that I'm on right now which uses outlook to verify and to log in, my other account uses the authenticator app. While I try to log into this account on the app it prompts me to type out the number on the authenticator app while I'm currently on it and nothing pops up for me to type the number show. To add on to that it somehow signed me in and now when I try to access my account on my computer it doesn't send the notification on the authenticator app to allow me to log in. I tried all the troubleshooting and it's still not working.
