Azure Database for PostgreSQL Flexible Server stuck in Dropping state

My PostgreSQL Flexible Server named 'democracy-master' in resource group 'rg-democracy5-prod' has been stuck in the “Dropping” state for several days.

I already tried deleting it using the Azure CLI:

az postgres flexible-server delete --name democracy-master --resource-group rg-democracy5-prod --yes --force

but the status did not change.

Please force delete the backend resource.

You cannot directly force delete a PostgreSQL Flexible Server stuck in the “Dropping” state. This typically happens due to a backend dependency issue. Raise an support ticket under “Azure Database for PostgreSQL Flexible Server - Management & Operations” and request manual backend cleanup. Only Microsoft support can remove the orphaned server resource.
