Ui Problem

In the recent Microsoft Edge update, the Quick Links on the new-tab page & every buttons around started showing rounded border outlines around every shortcut icon. These borders weren't present Screenshot (85)

before and they visually clutter the UI.

Is there a setting, registry flag, or experimental feature flag that can disable these rounded tile borders and revert to the previous minimal icon style?

I’ve checked edge://flags, and couldn't find a reliable option.

Hello !

This maybe cause by custom theme of any certain website and recent Edge update that conflict with Edge theme.

I have re-produced similar issue in my setup. After a while, I found the solution:

  • You can simply go to edge://settings/accessibility, on the Visibility tab, turn on the option Only apply page colors when high contrast themes are on, then navigate to edge://settings/appearance and set your desired theme.
  • After that, restart the browser and the issue should be resolved.
