Hello

Suddenly one click on e mails to move to folders, opens the mesge. I cannot move msges to folders anymore.

Seems that it is an old story and I tried all advices mentioned before- all in vein. "mark...as read in reading panel" is useless.

Why on earth this sudden problem and how o fix it?.

    Thank you

I do not have the option of "hide panel" . Also I need the panel to read the e mails. strangely this problem is new -just 10 days ago. I logged on another laptop -same outlook version- and there is no problem!

My Outlook is part of Microsoft 365

    Hi Mohga,

What changed is the Reading pane got enabled, so a single click selects the message and shows it immediately. That makes it feel like the message is opening when you just want to move it.

In Outlook on the web or the New Outlook app, select the gear icon at the top right, open Mail > Layout > Reading pane, choose Hide reading pane, then save. Go back to your inbox and try moving a message. It should no longer open on a single click.

If you prefer to keep the Reading pane but still select without opening, tell me which Outlook you use exactly and I will give you the checkbox method.
