A cloud-based identity and access management service for securing user authentication and resource access
Hi Mukherjee,
Thank you for posting your question on Microsoft Q&A.
If you are having trouble accessing Azure subscriptions or storage accounts tied to a personal account that was removed, it’s usually because the removed account no longer has permissions over those resources
Steps to Resolve:
Check the Subscription Status
· Make sure the Azure subscription is still active. If it’s disabled or canceled, you may need to resolve that first.
Transfer Ownership to a Current Account
· To regain control, transfer the subscription ownership to an active account (preferably your global admin account).
· Follow this guide to transfer your Azure subscription.
Cancel or Delete Unneeded Subscriptions
· If you no longer need the subscription or resources, you can cancel them.
· You’ll need to submit a cancellation request to Azure Support. Check this guide on canceling Azure subscriptions.
Additional Tips:
- Resources linked to a deleted account will be inaccessible until you reassign permissions or ownership.
- It’s a good idea to have multiple global admins to avoid losing access in the future.
