I've tried per-user and CA MFA for this. We have a PowerApp web part on a SharePoint site. We were wanting our end users to use the SharePoint app on Android as it just looks cleaner and is easier to navigate. If you go to the page with the PowerApp web part, the app will start loading, but then you will get a message asking you to sign in (should auto-sign in). Clicking sign-in doesn't do anything.

If you open the site via Google Chrome, sign in to SP and MFA, then it will let the app load. You can then go back to the SharePoint app and it will work (for that one app). If you go to another it will do the same thing.

I couldn't reproduce this issue on my SharePoint Android APP. As per my test, When a user visits the page for the first time, he will be asked to sign in with MFA. He can access the PowerApps App after completing the authentication(in my case, I will receive a text message on my mobile phone and I just need to type the verification code in the message into the SharePoint APP).

Make sure the owner of the PowerApps APP has shared the APP to those MFA users and the users has been assigned proper license to access the PowerApps APP.

The PowerApps app is shared with everyone. The user in question has READ access only to the entire site. You were using an embedded PowerApp web part on a SharePoint page? And you launched it using the app?

I'll just write out the setup and maybe you or someone will see something I've missed or configured incorrectly:

User account has Office F3 license and per-user/legacy MFA configured. I also tried it with a Microsoft Business Premium license and CA MFA. We are using text message MFA.

SharePoint site has members set to READ for all site contents

PowerApp app in question is shared to the EVERYONE EXCEPT EXTERNAL USERS group. This is an standard license app that I built (uses Office 365 Outlook, Office 365 Users, and SharePoint connectors)

Android 10 (enterprise/corporate ownership - not sure if some permission is not allowed, but doubt it)

Open the SharePoint app and am asked to sign in. First time I was asked to configure MFA, but never received a prompt in the app itself to actually do MFA

Go to the featured site. Open the specific page. Everything loads, but the app comes up with a "Sign in" prompt.

So maybe, for some reason, the SharePoint app isn't receiving the MFA prompt? I thought with the per-user MFA it always asked, unless you get the "Do not ask for XX days" message. And we have Conditional Access set to all cloud apps.

We have the Microsoft Authenticator App and Company Portal app on the device, but they're not signed in.

You can open a service request in you Microsoft 365 admin center to let Microsoft support help you check from the backend.
